The Home of Tangled Roots Brewing

Ottawa, IL is home to The Lone Buffalo, our first restaurant and the home of our original craft brewery. It’s also home to our barley farm, whose crop we use to brew our wide range of award-winning beers. At the heart of the Lone Buffalo are the large twin copper brewing kettles, imported from Bavaria, and admired and enjoyed by fans far and wide.

With over a decade of culinary experience, Chef Ian brings passion, creativity, and expertise to The Lone Buffalo. He started his culinary journey at the age of 16 and never looked back. He slowly rose through the ranks of the industry and now leads the Lone Buffalo kitchen team in crafting dishes that complement the brewery's unique offerings, creating an unforgettable dining experience for guests. Ian's dedication to fresh ingredients and bold flavors reflects his commitment to delivering exceptional quality in every plate.
